About this event
Clara & the Nutcracker presented by the Tennessee Ballet Theater is a charming rendition of the classic holiday tale about young Clara and her adventures. Audiences have been delighted for years by the exquisite classical training and performing skills of the youth who fill many of the principal roles, including Clara, along with professionals of the Tennessee Ballet Theater. This Memphis treasure features beautiful hand made costumes and amusing, lively choreography that transports the audience to Clara's world in the late 1700s. After wandering through a magnificent Toy Shop and Christmas party, Clara finds herself in a battle with the Prince and Mouse King in a land of snow. Finally, at the end of her adventure she meets the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Kingdom of Sweets. The 90 minute performance is directed by Mary Van Dyke and Cami Curran.
Join us in the lobby during intermission for the Sugar Plum Ornaments Sale, and after the performance meet Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy for photo opps! Parking is free on show days and is located in the Zach Curlin Garage at 505 Zach Curlin St., Memphis TN.
