If you skipped the late game Monday, here's the short version: the Grizzlies' perfect start is over. Memphis lost 135–134 in overtime to New Orleans after a 6-0 start that matched the 2014-15 Grizzlies for the best in franchise history.
Ty Jerome, back after missing Saturday's game, scored nine straight points in the fourth quarter to tie it at 124–124 with 4.6 seconds left. He finished with a game-high 40 and became the first Grizzly with multiple 40-point games in the first 10 games of a season. Pelicans guard Jeremiah Fears then made two free throws with 7.3 seconds left in overtime.
- Jerome in overtime: eight of Memphis' 10 points
- Boozer: 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two blocks
- Turnovers: Memphis 16, New Orleans 8, leading to 21 Pelicans points
Jerome scored more than twice as many points as any teammate
